Special half-price offer on Preservation and Restoration of Tooth Structure

Graham J. Mount and Derrick Setchell
Officially launched at the 31st Dental Congress by Derrick Setchell of the Eastman Dental Institute for Oral Health Sciences, University College, London, Preservation and Restoration of Tooth Structure can be purchased now for £75!
The book has met with an overwhelming response with great feedback from distributors, books sellers, under and postgraduates, hygienists, GPs, specialists and lecturers.
At the official book launch, co-editor Graham J. Mount was on hand to personally sign copies, and by the end of trade on the Sunday, had signed more than 240 copies.
Edited by Dr. Mount and W. R. Hume, Preservation and Restoration of Tooth Structure is 370 pages of beautiful diagrams, images and drawings which cover most aspects of minimal intervention dentistry with a foreword by Edwina Kidd, Professor of Cariology in the Division of Conservative Dentistry at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Schools of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences, London.
This book has been produced as a second edition because it is ten years since the original was written and there has been considerable progress in the subject of minimal intervention operative dentistry over that period. The debate began with the first edition and this one continues to expand upon this new and exciting approach to preservation of tooth structure through prevention and intervention in the disease process.
The emphasis is on control of the disease. The disease can be a reflection of lifestyle so there is discussion on the collection of relevant patient data. Information is offered on the very latest in techniques in remineralisation and healing. Having overcome the disease, there may be damaged tooth surfaces requiring restoration. The G. V. Black system was displaced years ago with the advent of adhesive restorative materials. Modern materials will seal the interface with tooth structure and some actually stimulate remineralisation so 'extension for prevention' is a thing of the past and minimal cavity designs are now a reality.

Orofacial Pain published
December 2004
This publication by Dr Alex Moule, made up of a 123-page book and CD-ROM, addresses some of the difficulties in assessing patients with facial pain, not by describing the various painful conditions, but by addressing the questions that need to be asked and by analysing the responses to these questions.
This title should be regarded as a working document to be read, adjusted and added to as new patients present themselves over the years.
